Thinking of heading to the theatre? Here's everything you need to know before your visit.
Ticket Purchases
Refunds and Exchanges
- All sales are final. In the event of a cancellation or postponement, full refunds will be processed with the exception of a non-refundable $1.13 processing fee for all online purchases. Please note, The Orillia Opera House does not save payment information, therefore all refunds must be processed directly through the Box Office.
- All exchanges are subject to the terms and conditions defined by the performing client. If approved, exchanges will only be processed for the same production as originally purchased and will be subject to a $2 processing fee.
Rates and Age Guidelines
- Age restrictions and ticketing costs are subject to the performing client's policies. If a performer chooses to allow infants under the age of 12 months into a performance without a ticket, the child must remain on the guardian's person at all times.
- Parents may be asked to leave with disruptive children so as not to disturb other patrons.
- As per fire regulation, all car seats and strollers will not be permitted to enter the auditorium.
- Youth must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
- Special rates are subject to the performing client's terms and conditions. Senior rates apply to those 60 and older. Youth rates apply to those 18 and younger. Student rates apply to those attending schools with ID, if requested by the performing client.
Accessibility
- Accessible parking is available in the municipal parking lot adjacent to the theatre. Designated accessible parking spots do not require payment.
- Patrons using a wheelchair, walker or who have difficulty with stairs, should advise the Box Office by phone or in person at the time of ticket purchase. In both theatre spaces, accessible seating is only available for purchase through the Box Office.
- Due to fire code regulations, large devices, such as wheelchairs, walkers, and electric scooters must be stationed within designated accessible seating. Patrons who are seated outside of designated accessible seats are required to allow staff to remove their devices from the auditorium once they have been seated.
- Assistive listening devices are available at no charge and may be reserved at the Box Office upon arrival.
- The Orillia Opera House accepts and welcomes service animals, but may ask for proof that the animal qualifies under the AODA with a letter from a regulated health professional.
- The Orillia Opera House is a scent-free facility. We ask that all visiting patrons refrain from wearing scented products of any kind.
Theatre Etiquette and Guidelines
- No photography or videography is permitted within the theatre, unless explicitly approved by the performing client.
- Latecomers will be seated at a suitable break in the performance, which will be predetermined by the artist. Patrons who leave the theatre during the performance will also be asked to wait to be readmitted at a suitable time.
- Patrons that are exhibiting hostile or threatening behavior and/or language either in person, online, or over the phone will be refused service and may be required to vacate the premises at the discretion of the House Manager.
